Home / All / BUsy business owners retreat

I got to get away for a weekend of uninterrupted business planning and mentoring with aj pipe!

I had watched the ads for the Busy Business Owners Retreat for months, but didn’t think I would actually end up there, but at the last minute, I did!!
Since I kicked off MisFIT NZ, my head has been constantly swimming with ideas, plans, what I want to achieve. All sorts. But I was really struggling to put it all down and prioritise what I needed to do first. So I wasn’t really getting anywhere, except more and more confused and frazzled.
So off I went to Tairua in the Coromandel, to stay at a beautiful holiday home overlooking the ocean. I had partly torn my calf muscle the night before, and couldn’t drive, but Rebecca from Do The Sums was passing through Tauranga, and was kind enough to take me with her. Made for a much more fun ride out there, with someone to talk to!
Our Hostess was Sarah from The Little Gallery, which she has Art Galleries in both Tairua and Auckland. Such a beautiful home and such a lovely lady! She was there to bounce ideas off, talk Marketing, and also to cook us gorgeous meals, so we had absolutely no distractions and could focus just on what we want to achieve in our business.
Such a fantastic weekend. If you are feeling lost in your business, and want some help to plan it all out, set some new goals, bounce ideas around, and make new friends/contacts, it is so worth it!!
The first morning I sat down with Amanda and we made a huge list of everything going around in my head. Just getting it all down on paper and out of my head was in itself, a relief!! From there we could work on what to do first, what’s going to make me money, cost me money, what is most important, what can wait etc. Most importantly, what I want to achieve!
The rest of the first day was spent working on blog posts, researching some of our ideas, and continuing on planning where I want to be.
The second day was another one on one session, planning for the future, and what I need to do to get to where I want to be. It was intense! Could have done with a nap after that, but instead continued working on everything we had set out, and then late aftenoon, we headed home, via Sarah’s Gallery in the town. Such a cool little gallery!!
There is another Retreat in the pipe-line (See what I did there??) for February, and if you are wanting a chance to get away for an amazing weekend, with good food, good company, and no interruptions, while you focus 100% on your business, then this is where you need to be.
